MacroLift has successfully completed the installation of 16 heavy-duty freight elevators, each with a rated load capacity of 5 tons, at Weituo Integrated Logistics Industrial Park in Hechuan, Chongqing, China.
Designed to support the vertical transportation needs of the park’s warehousing facilities, the elevators provide dedicated equipment support for heavy-duty cargo handling and efficient movement between floors.
Designed for Heavy-Duty Warehouse Operations
Warehousing and logistics operations involve cargo handling, loading and unloading, and the movement of goods between different levels. These activities place specific demands on elevator load capacity, operational stability, and door performance.
The 16 MacroLift 5-ton heavy-duty freight elevators were selected to meet the project’s cargo transportation requirements, supporting vertical movement within the warehouse facilities and helping improve the efficiency of material handling operations.
Flexible Door Configurations for Space and Operational Requirements
Different buildings and operating environments require different door configurations. MacroLift freight elevators are available with multiple door options, including center-opening doors, center-opening bi-fold doors, side-opening doors, and center-opening three-panel folding doors.
For this project, center-opening bi-fold doors were selected. The folding-door configuration helps optimize the space required for door operation while facilitating cargo access, making it a practical solution for warehouse environments where efficient loading and unloading are important.
Dual-Microprocessor Redundant Safety Architecture
In logistics environments, where elevators may be required to handle frequent heavy-duty operations, the reliability of the control system is an important consideration.
The elevators supplied for this project feature a dual-microprocessor redundant safety architecture. This control-system design provides an additional layer of safety-related control support and is configured to meet the project’s operational requirements for heavy-duty cargo transportation.
From load capacity and door configuration to control-system design, the equipment solution was configured around the practical requirements of the warehouse environment.
