Project Update | Two MacroLift Accessibility Elevators Completed at Bayu Primary School Pedestrian Overpass in Banan, Chongqing

MacroLift has completed the construction of two municipal accessibility elevators for the pedestrian overpass near Bayu Primary School in Banan District, Chongqing, China.

Located adjacent to a school, the project presented specific site challenges. Limited construction space required careful coordination of installation activities, pedestrian access, safety protection, and the potential impact of construction work on the surrounding environment.

In response, MacroLift planned and coordinated construction activities according to the site conditions, supporting the implementation of the project while taking the needs of the surrounding public environment into account.

Addressing Site Constraints in a School Environment

Municipal projects near schools require careful consideration of both construction requirements and everyday pedestrian movement.

At the Bayu Primary School pedestrian overpass, the limited working area placed constraints on equipment installation and on-site operations. Construction activities also needed to account for the movement of students, teachers, and other pedestrians, alongside appropriate safety protection measures.

MacroLift adapted its construction arrangements to the characteristics of the public environment, coordinating on-site work with pedestrian access requirements and site management considerations.

Tailored Door Configuration for Site Requirements

Accessibility elevators for pedestrian overpasses must meet vertical transportation needs while accommodating the structural layout, entrance positions, and available space.

The project includes two municipal accessibility elevators, one of which features a 90-degree (right-angle) door arrangement. This configuration was selected to suit the spatial layout and access requirements of the site.

The project demonstrates the importance of matching elevator configurations to actual building conditions, helping integrate vertical transportation equipment into existing public infrastructure.

Enhancing Vertical Accessibility in Public Infrastructure

With the two elevators completed, the pedestrian overpass has additional vertical transportation facilities to support pedestrian access.

For public infrastructure, accessibility elevator projects involve more than equipment installation alone. Building conditions, pedestrian routes, and practical usage requirements all play an important role in determining the appropriate solution.

The successful completion of this project adds to MacroLift’s experience in applying elevator solutions to municipal and public-use environments.

Solutions Grounded in Real-World Conditions

From working within a constrained construction area to selecting a door configuration suited to the site layout, the Bayu Primary School pedestrian overpass project highlights the importance of coordinating equipment solutions with actual project conditions.

MacroLift will continue to provide elevator products and solutions tailored to the needs of public buildings and municipal infrastructure, supporting the development of accessible and convenient urban environments.
